Support at Fontys

Here you can find all kinds of practical information and personal support when you are in need of extra guidance. You can among others find contact details for student counselors and a lot of useful tips for students that are new to the Netherlands. It also lists some interesting (social) initiatives for you to join.

Meditation

The regular practice of meditation has proven to be an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety, to focus the mind and increase attention span, and to strengthen the self-awareness and self-compassion. For these reasons, meditation has become an important tool to increase general well-being.

Meditation is a way of becoming aware of what’s alive inside of yourself. By meditating regularly, you will develop a stronger connection with yourself, others, and life. This connection can help you with finding more calmness in your days, increasing focus on what you’re doing, coping with stress, and building resilience. Mindfulness and meditation are practices in which we dive deeply into what drives us and makes us human. They make us take a good look at ourselves: our thoughts and emotions, our fears and our love.

Enter the Now is a community of people who want to reveal the beauty of life by becoming aware of the now. They organise events and workshops focussing on mindfulness to raise your consciousness, happiness and awareness. As the name suggests: it is all about living in the present moment, the Now.

Find them on Insta or Facebook.
